Now I'm Really Moving

Well, we weren't sure if he would ever bother crawling on all 4, since he could get where he wanted to go doing the army crawl. But, this past week, Owen figured out that he could carry things in his mouth and crawl on all 4, and that he could just go faster.
So now when we set him down, he pretty much takes off.

I'm standing!

Changes happened quickly this week. Owen started pulling himself up to kneeling position about a week or so ago, then a couple days ago, pulled himself up to standing. He is very excited about his new found ability, and now he wants to push or pull up on anything.
If we thought he didn't like sitting still before, now he really doesn't because he has a whole lot more to explore.
In this video, he had crawled over to his little car and got to kneeling. Then I went and got the camera in time to see him stand up.
Pay no attention to the lawn! :-)

Happy Easter

No egg hunts quite yet, but Owen enjoyed receiving a basket with some eggs and ribbons and a big cookie monster (he has a couple of bunnies already.)

Great family visit!

Mike and Jen brought Bennett and Jillian to Portland last week. We had an awesome time with them. Owen loves his aunt and uncle, and he was definitely entertained by his cousins.

Nana and Papa Visit

Owen got another visit from his grandparents on Kevin's side last week. It was an awesome visit, and Owen had a blast. He changed during the week they were here - started moving more quickly across a room, using a combination of semi-crawling and scooting. He can get where he wants to go now.
They were so sweet with him. It was fun having them here.

Taking pleasure in someone else's pain

Owen ordinarily gets a pretty big kick out of Clemmie. He loves to watch her play fetch, he likes to grab her fur, her paws, and her ears. But when he saw Clemmie get frustrated because her tennis ball was under a table, he thought it was the funniest thing in the world.
This will make your day.
